Wall Township police said they're investigating after a report of an attempted burglary at a home on Apple Ridge Circle. It happened at around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
Officers said multiple people had broken into the garage through a window. The suspects couldn't get into the home because the door between the garage and the house was locked.
The homeowner was woken up by the noise from the break-in and called police. The suspects left through the garage door and police believe they were trying to get into the home to take the keys to the Mercedes-Benz in the driveway.
Wall police also said they're looking for whoever is responsible for two catalytic converter thefts in the middle of the night last weekend. The police department posted on its Facebook page about the incidents on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
The catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked on Johnson Street and Rogers Court, which are near Belmar Boulevard. Police ask anyone living in this area to check their cars and not make contact with anyone appearing suspicious.
Anyone with information about these incidents should call the Wall Township Police Department at 732-449-4500.
